Community Manager, PC Gaming

Duties & Responsibilities:
Liaison has an opportunity for a Community Manager with Gaming experience to join our team onsite for our south Austin high-tech corporate client, a leader in video game hardware. As an embedded Liaison team member, you'll work with internal corporate marketing groups to manage, optimize, maintain and engage with their existing user community via Twitch, Raptr, Facebook and Twitter, Meetups, Google+, corporate blogs, and in-person events. If you've got a passion for social media, gaming, and can communicate effectively with gamers and corporate marketing, this could be the right fit.

This full-time, full-benefits Liaison employee position starts immediately. What you'll do:
- Partner with the management of the corporate Advocate Program by overseeing both internal and external resources, while creating content, organizing events, and producing collateral assets to grow the program and product advocacy
- Play some video games;
- Create community development strategies and tactics by collaborating with Marketing, Sales and Public Relations teams;
- Develop a relationship and assess the community's pulse, understand its needs, concerns and communicate to internal teams;
- Leverage key members of various hardware and gaming communities to help evangelize the brand both online and off;
- Moderate, create content and engage the community on social networks such as Twitch, Raptr, Facebook and Twitter etc.., forums and the Community Website;
- Support and cultivate client's Community by answering questions on social networks such as Twitch, Raptr, Facebook and Twitter etc.., forums and email at industry events;
- Attend various industry events and plan meet-ups.

 
Background & Experience:
- Three to five years of experience in a community management or marketing role. Experience in the hardware technology or video games industry is a major plus;
- Be ready to show your numbers! analytics and reporting will be a significant part of the job;
- PC Gaming experience (professional or otherwise!);
- Demonstrated track record in developing and executing short and long-term marketing or community management plans.
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications.

This is a Freelance, sub-contracted project. You will be paid as a 1099 contractor and you will be responsible for your work product, employment taxes and insurance. Sorry, no relocation benefits are available for this position.
